Our Perfectly Nude Fashion Week Face... May 12, 2010
When it comes to makeup I personally always love a effortlessly, barely there look. I think that its important to use the best quality products available and use them to flatter the complection, its the "less is more" theory.
When it came to the makeup direction for our fashion week show we wanted to use a makeup look that you could wear everyday.
We were very lucky to have the opportunity to work with the amazing team from Jane Iredale. They created a truly effortless and elegant look with their leading mineral makeup.

We sat down with our amazing makeup director Celeste David to ask her what products and methods she used so you at home can create the natural look for yourself.

PERFECTLY NUDE By jane iredale
Face
• Using the Chisel Powder Brush, apply the appropriate Amazing Base shade using light, downward strokes.
- A second foundation in PurePressed base, 2 shades darker than the skin, was applied with the Handi Brush, around the jaw line, the side of the face, in the hairline of the forehead and underneath the cheek bones.
• With the Camouflage Brush*, apply the appropriate Active Light shade to the under-eye area to highlight eyes and provide additional coverage as necessary. Using a stippling motion lightly blend product into skin.
- For extra hydration and setting the minerals, Spritz with D2O.
Eyes
• Using the Crease Brush, apply Cream from the Perfectly Nude Eye Shadow Palette to the crease, upper and lower lid, blending up and out.
• Using the Crease Brush apply Cappuccino & Foxy Eye Shadow to the
crease, blending from the outer edge toward the inner corner of the eye.
• With the Smudge Brush, apply Antique Gold & Copper to the top lash line and just below the lower lashes.
• Apply PureLash Extender & Conditioner followed by Espresso Longest Lash Mascara to upper and lower lashes.
• Shape brows with the Brow/Brush Combo and apply a touch of PureBrow Fix & Mascara to hold them in place.
Cheeks/Bronzer
• Using the Dome Brush, apply a blend of the 24kt shimmer and matte bronze colour in So-Bronze 3 below the cheek bones, to accentuate the natural contour of the face.
• Lightly dust the 24kt shimmer in So-Bronze 3 on cheeks, nose, chin and forehead with the White Fan Brush.
Lips
• Finish with a colour application of the Desire Lip Fixation, wait 30 seconds to dry, and apply a small amount of the gloss in the centre of the top and bottom lip.
