Trend Report: Camo 15 March, 2012

One of our favourite gals Rachel Rutt, opening girl at our SS1011 RAFW show, and face of our AW2011 lookbook, stopped by the studio the other day before lunch. Some women are known for their innovative dress sense, but seriously, Rachel's stylistic leanings leave the collective obsessions of Yvan Rodic, Tommy Ton and Scott Schuman for dead.

The lady wore a handkniited vest made by her own hands, a blouse and sarong from Singapore, and a vest from Shanghai (both inherited from her mother), vintage sandals, and A Chinese paddy hat stolen from best pal Myf Shepherd. Her hat was adorned with some lavender she picked on her way to the train station that morning. Does it get any better than this on the streets of Sydney? As we walked to yum cha, let's just say, she turned a few heads.

Rachel also grabbed a few pieces while she was here...the shoulder shirt, velvet riding jeans, and joelene silk pants, all available from the onlilne store now.

Rosemarie Fiore is one of our favourite modern artists.
Her work is vibrant, chaotic and adventurous.
Her latest work "Pyrotechnics" explores fireworks in a new way. Following her own realization that fireworks, lit and thrown onto a smooth cement floor, leave chaotic marks as they spin and explode, she started painting and drawing with the colorful pigments discharged by the explosives.
“Fireworks are explosives. They are violent, destructive and chaotic in nature.”
Take a look at her amazing work...

We were lucky enough to have been asked to create an exclusive collection for Sportsgirl...
Our collection "Fade to Grey" is a gorgeous 8 piece range just made for the romantic at heart!
We drew on nostalgic memories to create designs with a modern, yet slightly off-kilter take on femininity.
We recently went into store and took some pictures of the collection for you...
Enjoy! x
